PTAB decisions
Representative PTAB Orders and Decisions
In the first years of AIA trials, the Board circulated representative orders to show how it handled common procedural requests. These notes cover that collection: joinder, standing, pro hac vice admission, timeliness and real party in interest.
When AIA trials began in September 2012, the Board published examples of routine orders so that parties could see how the new rules would be applied. Many of the underlying rules have since been amended, so each note explains the practice at the time and points to the current rule.
Designations and rules change. Before relying on any decision, confirm its current status on the USPTO PTAB pages.
